Matsusaka city Museum of History and Folklore Temporary(The 2nd floor Yasujiro Ozu Matsusaka Museum)

The former Iinan County Library, built in 1912 on the site of the former Matsuzaka Castle, was converted into a museum in 1978.
The building itself is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan.
There are three steps in front of the entrance, but there is a ramp on the left side.
In 2021, the Matsusaka Memorial Museum of Yasujiro Ozu was opened on the second floor.

However, there is no elevator to the second floor, only stairs.

From Matsusaka Station (JR/Kintetsu), 15 min. on foot.
Take a bus from Matsusaka Station Bus Terminal. Get off at "Shiyakusho-mae" or "Shimin Byoin-mae" bus stop. About 3 minutes on foot.

Approx. 10 min. by car from Matsusaka Interchange on Ise Expressway.

*There is no parking lot, so please use a nearby parking lot. However, there is a steep slope in front of the building, so those with disabilities may park on the premises.
